HOW TO DRESS LIKE 007: THE SECRET TO BEING BOND.

 I remember dreaming of one day becoming a secret agent. This happened after reading lan Flemming's 'Casino Royale' and watching Skyfall during the holidays. People have come to celebrate the character of James bond as well as his impeccable style. lan Flemming designed this character to charm with style, class and skills. Over the years you'd find people trying to imitate 007 buying tuxedos here and there without really knowing what it is like to be BOND...

A friend of mine showed up for a meeting dressed in a black suit, white shirt and black tie. One could also easily spot the black suspenders that held his nicely tailored slacks in place. After the meeting, I went to him and asked why he appeared so serious for a brief meeting of this sort and if he was passing off to somewhere, he said no that he has been watching "From Russia With Love". I laughed at him not really knowing what to say. I decided to go home and write this post.

1. Own A Black Tuxedo.

 

  I didn't really mean to make this the first as I already know tons of you own a black suit. Get a well tailored one made to fit you all round. A darker shade on the lapel would be appreciated . I don't know if you "do" bespoke tailors but I think they're the best for your "Bond" suit.

2. A white Dress shirt.

    

   Gentlemen, by tradition, a black suit is classier with a white dress shirt. It gives the wearer a pure look, not the waiter kind of look in this instance but a more mystical one. 

3. Several ties.

   

     Bow ties, neckties, yh that's all. Keep them in stock, black, very important. Buy the sets with pocket squares if like me, would feel uncomfortable having a handkerchief in my pockets.

4. Italian shoes.

   

 

After doing a lot of research on the types of shoes Bond wears I discovered they were Italian, how would they not be Italian?. These guys make the best shoes in the planet. Bond wears Oxford shoes when he comes off his car. Get a black pair. Never really seen bond on colored shoes.

5. Super cool Timepiece:

 You see this guy walks and works with time. You hear him say things like " you got 2 minutes to get out of there". Every Bond man owns a sacred timepiece he looks into all the time and it doesn't have to be a Rolex!!!, but classy.

6. Be confident.

   Know what you want, say what you want. Try your best to create an air of mystery all the time. Say the truth but not all of it. Be collected, say less. Be Bond.

Now I don't know if I ever saw Bond smile a lot but I think you should, ha! ( Why so serious).it's intimidating and scary not to smile under a tuxedo, THAT'S LAW.
