20 Simple Steps To Look Better

Life may never be all about dressing yet its no doubt that you can have all you ever want in life if you dress for it besides looking good is good business and the best job security i know. Im sharing with you 20 proven tips on dressing better
1. Invest in quality shirts;    A man, every classic man would invest in quality shirts ranging from casual to formal dress shirts. They should be of the best quality too. I reccomend sticking to brands like Calvin Klein, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana and Hugo Boss. They are reported to be the best 21st century shirt makers.
2. Own a bespoke suit;
        No known luxury will replace the joy of a fitted bespoke suit. Culling the words of the satorialist in an edition of a GQ magazine' taking a little time with your tailor makes all the difference. A good suit will fit across your shoulders giving you a perfect look. I suggest you go for an Aniferaz bespoke suit or a Gucci number.
3. Own a classy timepiece;    Ah- a timepiece, a classy one is vital to your style. It doesn't have to be anything expensive but clasy. It says a few things about our personality. Select good leather, silver and black when purchasing from your dealer.
4. Read as many fashion books as you can;
      Fashion books will help direct our style and save us from making style mistakes. Read and assimilate the techniques and instructions provided. Never feel you are a master of style, theres still a whole lot to learn. I recommend ' the satorialist man ' by Scott Schuman, it certainly is a good read.
5. Invest in good shoes;
.      Shoes of high quality elevates the classic man to an admirable position. They don't have to cost you a thousand dollars, all they need to be is versatile and classic of course. Black and brown selections remain king.
6. Be simple;
      People tend to misunderstand the concept of simplicity, they take it for unfashionable , cheap and low class but its all false. Simplicity in this case is moderation, decency and class. Its best to keep your wardrobe simple and organized. You can be simple and sophisticated.
7. Iron your shits;        Proper care of clothes will always require ironing, it enhances the look of the wearer and prolongs the life of the dress. Besides, it makes the wearer look more tidy.
8. Increase your ties collection;Ties and the classic man are good friends. Ranging from bow ties to long neckties, it adds to the classic man's  look. Invest in vintage Cedar Wood State ties or a Gucci one. Buy them in different colors but keep versatile colors that would match with every shirt and trouser in your wardrobe.
9.Own a classy belt with a silver buckle;     I am of the opinion that silver is a classic color. The belt buckle should be simple yet sophisticated in style. Buy them in brown and black. They should be of genuine leather made from the best of materials.
10.Own good slacks;
       Pick a few basic colors (black, navy blue, khaki, brown, Greg and white). I suggest you get them bespoke, made to suit you. Have some made without belt lobes and wear them with suspenders. Whatever brand you patronize, make sure it suits your personality. I suggest you go for an Aniferaz number or Banana Republic bespoke trousers.
11. Waistcoats look less serious- Invest in them;        Waistcoats alter the style of any dress code, so if you had to wear one suit for two straight days, you would look differerent, besides, they can be worn without the suit. Invest in quality waistcoats as some of them are sold separately.
12. Have your own personal style;      Theres so many trends out there and a variety of styles to pick from, Its not fair to always try on everything that trends on the social media or what your friends wear. Sit down, know yourself and adorn yourself accordingly.
13. Wear jeans that suit you;     Although I am of the opinion that not every classic man would wear a jean, after all for many years I went around in trousers and shorts, but jeans can really look good on some people. When you go to purchase jeans, make sure they suit you perfectly.
14. Check out some chinos trousers;Maybe you are a classic man like me who would never buy my idea of wearing jeans, chinos trousers seem to be the next big thing, they come in different colors ranging from carton brown to navy blue.
15. Wear clean underwear;        Dont go feeling you're neat in unpleasant underwear, it doesn't work that way. A classic dresser would take care of his underwear not only for the sake of hygiene, but to feel good inside without itches here and there.
16. Own a crisp white quality dress shirt;This would be the most priceless possession  in your wardrobe because it matches with every item you have on that wardrobe. When you pick one or two, make sure it is of good quality, classic and sparkling. I suggest it should be a cuff wear. Try out a D&G number available at their retail stores.
17. Stick to classic brands;All brands try to say something, there's alot of noise out there and picking out a classic brand is not a friday night assignment, it will take some time. You'll have to look around, ask questions and do some research. When you find a classic brand...... Stick to it.
18. Dont try to use your dress to get yourself noticed;Its a crime when you use your clothes to try to get yourself noticed, by dressing well alone, you will be noticed without you striving to do so. Be simple in style and selection.
19. Use accesories;Accessories will complete the whole dressing project automatically. Watches, belts, shoes, bracelets, etc... They all matter and you should never skimp on them especially glasses and shoes.
20. Smile- they make you look better;
Smiles.....I'm smiling now. When you dress well and hit the streets, flash that smile and watch the compliments come like you're some Instagram post.
        Yours in classicity,
          Flourish Herbert.
